Very good place to stay, if you take power it's 10NZD. The owner of the tavern is really nice and welcoming, and the food and the beer is really good.
Had our little self contained van with our dog. Sat outside seating with him until near closing. Food delicious, owners super friendly and sharing all their plans for future food options. Public toilet super close walk, clean and 24 hours. Assume we didn’t get charged to stay as we ate and drank a lot! Will come back for future menus!
Great place to stop overnight. Camper and caravan parking on old tennis court out the back of the tavern. Tasty food at the tavern.
CLOSED - business up for sale, entirely closed. (Advised by a local when we pulled up).
Superb place to camp since we pitched our tent in the tavern garden, with the presence of a sheep, the mascot! The pizzas are exceptional, especially the chicken-brie-cramberries. The staff is warm and welcoming! One of our best places in New Zealand!
Lovely place to spend the night, pretty little village with a gorgeous tavern! The owners of the tavern are very accommodating and friendly, although they were shut they let us stay and we really enjoyed our night here! Public toilets are a short 2 min walk and are clean and well stocked.
This site is CLOSED Monday and Tuesday during winter!
This campsite was great! You can pull up and ask Sean to open the gate to let you in where you will pull up and park at one of the charging stations on the tennis court. We spent the night and we were a short walk from the public restroom. You can follow the blue sign that has a restroom symbol. The hosts were super friendly. You can choose to eat lunch or dinner at the restaurant. We are a party of four adults and we had a drink at the bar before walking back to our camper. Make to sure to wave to Mary Belle to sheep before you leave!
Stopped at the tavern for lunch. Great place to stop when you traveling along the scenic route. Good food and a very friendly host!
