When we drove around, it was cloudy and rainy, so in this weather we didn't see the mountains.

Lovely spot to stop and have lunch or just take a picture and enjoy the view. Needs to be a clear day as clouds can block the view

We slept a little further away, going deeper into the bush... Arrived late and left early, ideal for the day before Tongariro!

Only thing coming in mind of taking a break there, is the word 'wow'! The picture on the screen is us taking a lunch break there! For that you need to bring your own stuff as there are no facilities there! And, of course, don't litter anything! ?
