Not worth the price at all, no WiFi, no cutlery/cups/washing utensils etc. You can only book online and the staff were not friendly. We were planning on staying for two nights however due to rudeness of staff, who rushed us off site although it was empty,we decided to leave earlier.
Ideal for a break in nature. Hot shower. Kitchen with microwave and heating plates. Laundry and common space. Warm place and very friendly and welcoming staff.

The reception was unmanned, but online booking was straightforward. Pleasantly hot and clean showers, well-maintained grounds, and a superb location in the national park.
Loved our stay here - great communal facilities, lovely and open and a great location for doing the alpine crossing
We stayed one night before doing the Tongariro crossing: good location not far from the park and ride parking (shuttles). Clean kitchen, toilets, dining area. Paid 52$ for a powered site (even if I donβt need it - but only space left).
I didn't meet the owners, but we corresponded by email. They were very kind and understanding: I hiked the Tongariro, and they offered to let me leave my car at the campsite and pack up my tent only when I returned, rather than 5 a.m. before the shuttle. The common areas were clean and well-equipped.
Way too expensive for what you get. Cookers barely work, no utensils or even soap in the kitchen and the bathrooms and showers look like theyβre from the 80s. The only good thing is the convenience for the shuttle
Hello, nice campsite. Service unsatisfactory. There's no proper reception, so you have to book your pitch online. It takes forever to register.
Good campsite, especially for its location, close to the Tongariro Crossing hike. They organize shuttles. There are no utensils in the kitchen; you need to bring your own.
Unfortunately, we were unable to access it as the road was closed due to a fire, but our reservation was fully refunded.
