Quiet spot to spend the night. Unfortunately there had been heavy rain and the ground was muddy. The spaces are best suited for the smaller campers.
Lovely place to spend the night. It is just off the main road but we found it not to be busy after 9ish and there are a few trees to shield it a little. The river runs directly behind it and is really tranquil. There are only 4 bays but we were the only ones there and felt quite safe. There is a building across the road a short way up so it's not like your totally alone if something happened like a van breakdown.
Short of having a cell signal, and during high traffic hours many cars, this spot is amazing. No one else is here, it is 9:30 pm and zero traffic noise. There is no signage which may be the reason for no one else being here.
Nice parking lot without toilet, etc. To stay well suited, however, is the main road right next to at about 7am fully traveled.
Beautiful little spot by the river with good cover from the rain under the trees. No toilets or bins but quite a few picnic tables. It is close to the road but we didnt have any trouble with that as there wasn't many cars going past through the night anyway and the traffic didn't start again until a reasonable hour in the morning. We really liked it here with the Tui singing up in the trees and we had the place to ourselves!
