Nice flat car park to park on behind the bowling club for 10 $ per camper van. Across the road, little walk to the beach. Bowling club is open for drinks and serves food on Fridays and sundays.
Great little spot for self-contained vehicles at the rear of the car park. We stayed when the club was shut so there were no facilities on site. $10 for the night which is paid either at the bar when the club is open or cash in an honesty box. The car park is lit at the front end and CCTV cameras on the club house building so felt secure
Easy to find and if not open there’s an honesty box for your 10$. So friendly in the club and there was a match on so we stayed for a drink and watched. No meals on though which was a shame, as it was Saturday night. Feels safe and glad we fell upon it in our journey to the North North😊
Great place to stay. Helpful signs of where to park and where to pay fee.
As usual another great stay at Coopers. Always friendly and another perfect Friday meal.
Awesome stopover lovely Friday night roast meal thanks for providing this
Outstanding park over. Safe parking behind the club, we were there on a friday. Roast dinner, friendly welcoming locals, cheap drinks. We even had a quiz night. Heaps of fun.
Might be a good place to park if you want to walk the tracks in the Taumarumaru Reserve across the road, as the day we were there someone had just been stabbing the car tyres in the Reserve car park ☹️.
Great overnight. We were there on a Friday night so the club was open. Friendly people and enjoyed drinks and a meal. Combined the peninsula walk with a walk along the beach the next morning. A beautiful spot. We were 2 happy campers when we left town
Perfect place to stop whilst visiting friends here as there is no local campsite. Flat parking and had a lovely roast dinner on a Friday night. Lots of friendly people. Nice quiet and safe. The beautiful reserve walk up to 3 different pa sites is directly the opposite side of the road overlooking the beautiful beaches of this area.
