Great place! Bonus of being the only campervan due to winter. Kim the owner very pleasant and helpful. V quiet here, just the dawn chorus which was fab. Clean facilities. Would recommend

We came and everything was closed. We were said by very unfriendly lady no vacancy what was clearly not true (not care at all, no single person) Gate was closed, no information on website
“Hello we are very surprised by your comment above. We are not sure where you formed your opinion that there wasn't a single person here? Our guests either go out to work or explore the Far North both in the day and night. We had up a NO VACANCY sign, a closed gate for this reason and the reason why you couldn't book on the website was because we were fully booked!!!! Most of our guests have been staying 5 days to 6 months. We suggest that you book in advance especially in peak season to ensure that you get to stay where you would like to. We find it really disappointing that you write such a negative review because we advised you that we were fully booked yet you have the audacity to suggest that we lied to you. It was in fact you who didn't tell the truth in your review because you took exception to the fact that we were fully booked and could not get you in. We work really hard in very trying times to make Guests feel welcome and have a peaceful stay (please read our reviews on every platform). If you had booked in advance then maybe you could have experienced this too rather than so being so negative you could have been positive.”
We stayed at Kim's campsite for the last two nights. Kim is very helpful and friendly. The campsite is very clean. If you have a reservation you can open the gate at the entrance and drive through.

“Not sure who wrote this review but we certainly are not closed. We did do some maintenance in September which took a couple of days and ONLY for those days didn't accept guests in the Park. It is disappointing that people write incorrect information on this Site.”
Such a warm welcome at Kim’s place. She was very communicative prior to our arrival and we felt very well looked after (hygiene and Covid protocols were ?). We were able to have a hot shower, do some laundry, refill our drinking water and have a peaceful night’s rest. We also took a BBQ down to Taipā Beach and had a swim and dinner by the beach (20 mins’ drive).

Gate is shut, bookings only. No kitchen as such just a sink outside and a toaster, microwave etc in the laundry room. Washing machine small runs in 4$ per load honesty box. Wifi not going. A bit noisy with traffic and dogs barking. Lovely grounds and parking for campers. Playground for kids unfortunately pool closed .
“Hello thanks for your review. We are a bit surprised at your comment re the noise as we only receive positive comments on how quiet it is here as per other reviews on this Site and elsewhere. We certainly don't have barking dogs. We were unaware that you had an issue with Wifi to the best of our knowledge it was working fine when you stayed. We also advertise our pool as seasonal on all websites and apps. We used to have it open throughout Winter but in 13 years no one has wanted to swim in it at that time of the year.”
Fantastic stay at a wonderful place. Very friendly and helpful owner who managed to fit us in at the last minute at a very busy time (had to change plans, due to gas fridge fault we needed power). Lovely facilities that are kept clean and tidy. Play ground for the kids and a swimming pool available for use. Beautiful grounds that are well kept.

Wonderful stay. Very helpful and nice owner. She went out of her way to help us. Good clean facilities! Very recommendable. Good place to stay when doing the Harrison’s Cape Runner, which is a great (and cheap!) tour.
