Currently closed. Kauri dieback all around!

There's only one walk still accessible due to Kauri dieback. Nice swimming hole in the river though. The visitor centre/cafe is often closed, but the camp site just 200 metres down the road is nice, and the manager was very helpful. There's also a guided night walk through the forest with the campsite manager, ideal if you're staying at the campsite. His tour is highly recommended!

Beautiful tall trees that have for some thousands of years! The road in this forest is worth a visit if you are in the area. Enjoy the view in a semi jungle ?
