We just finished the whole track, it was amazing, even with the wet weather. Huts are spacious, and with flush toilets! Overall a beautiful experience.

We made it from Routeburn shelter (Glenorchy) to Hariss saddle and back. It took us 8,5 hours return with lot of breaks for taking photos or just observing beautiful landscape. Track is really well maintained, not too steep.

We made the Routeburn Shelter - Conical Hill trip on Friday, March 29th, and it was really great! We started the hike at 7:20 am, and finished it at 5:10 pm, 8:40 am (4h40 up, 4h downhill) + 1h10 lunch break at the summit of Conical Hill, with a great view for the meal! Good to know: Water can be refilled at the Routeburn Falls Shelter. For the landscape, no description, go find out for yourself;)

Excellent hiking under the sun! There are 3 parts: 1 / along the turquoise river rather quiet and pleasant 2 / after the 1st Hut we attack to climb higher and higher until the 2nd hut 3 / beautiful valley and climb again with stairs and stairs. rocks but on arrival the scenery and breathtaking! I highly recommend! Thought the hiking shoes and if you did it in a day left early we took 7h taking our time plus 2h at the top for the picnic. have fun

Combine routeburn with greenstone and get back in the same valley, arrange a transport or hitchhike and you are back at your car in an hour

Really nice track! First we walked to Routeburn Falls Hut and than further up to Harris Saddle. You can do this side trip in 2:15 h return if you hurry up a bit. You will be rewarded with stunning views on snow covered mountains. Definitely worth the detour! For the whole track we needed 8 h return.

Hike to Harris Saddle: splendid To have a full day (about 9 hours walk), good provisions. 1st part to the hut: long and flat, redundant 2nd part to the hut: short but intensive 3rd part to the summit: long but magnificent!

We did a day trip to Falls Falls. Very nice hike 6 hours. Back.
