One of my favorite spots. Negative point are the toilets that are not glued to the seats but planchas are arranged to cook meat or other foods. The sunset and sunrise are magnificent. Extremely quiet place and super clean toilets!

WARNING: The previous review correctly stated that the are 4 spaces (bays) in this designated FC area, BUT be aware that ONLY 3 vehicles may legally park! Limiting occupancy to 3 vehicles when 4 can easily fit is nonsensical - but that’s the typical mentality of NZ councils!🤯

4 lovely places for SC cars. Beautiful nature with access to the beach by the sea and in the bay. You can swim in both places. The toilets are cleaned every day and while we stayed here the toilets were open at night. There is an outdoor cold shower by the beach in the bay. We were checked early in the morning if we were more than 4 cars.

4 spots, a little uneven but great spot with amazing views and quiet in the night. There are quite a lot of locals showing up in the carpark, just drive in, take a look at the view and leave not long after - in the evening and morning as well. Bathrooms are closed in the night. The beach has nesting birds, great to see but keep your distance as they will let you know unmistakably if you are intruding 😉

Really like this campspot. Space for 4 vehicles. Not as small a everyone has commented, two toyota estimas had plenty of space. Toilets nearby and were clean. Felt safe as a solo traveller.

Beautiful spot, lovely beach and facilities are good. 4 spaces, only the tiniest slope and didn’t bother us at all.

I love this spot so much but when we arrived it’s been closed off for construction 14/10/25

Nice sand for the kids to play. They enjoyed watching the boats coming and going. Clean flushing toilets. There is also a bbq area (bbq works), and bins for rubbish too. Downside is that there are only 4 spots for self contained vehicles Stayed 1 night in SEP 2025
