really good spot. Always clean toilets. We arrived on Friday at 5 pm and there were two spots left.
4 seats available, we arrived at 17:30 all the seats were still available (we were there in autumn). Nearby super clean toilet, quiet parking and telephone network that works. A small corner of paradise with the beach nearby.
Please do not accuse local kids. This was evening of long weekend and this behavior is common when holiday home owners come into town and give their kids access to alcohol. Our small community of local kids with very responsible parents are known to all in Pauanui. Avoid this site during all holidays and you should enjoy our beautiful beach.
Lovely spot close to the beach, and has flushing toilet open all night. Very busy location, and only 4 campers allowed. Main issue was that the local kids hung out there drinking until about midnight on a friday night. No trouble, just noisy, so didnt sleep well. Maybe better for a mid week stop rather than weekend. Also dog friendly!
Full by 3:55pm. There is space for more than 4 vehicles but sign says 4 only
Spots are full for this evening! Strict 4 van rule otherwise fines… unbelievable spot if you can get there early.
Fantastic Freedom campsite right by the sea. Clean toilets that were open all night. However, there were only 4 or 5 pitches, and the ranger came shortly after 7 a.m. to check that no one was camping in the unauthorized area.
great campsite on the beach with toilet and outdoor shower. says enough space for 4 vans.
Now only 4 and people had been parking there Long before 5…..
Very beautiful place, long and beautiful beach 4 pitches but the space is enough for 6 vehicles. Good phone reception. Toilets and cold shower right next door The first rainy night went very well. But big downside on the 2nd night, we were threatened by a group of very drunk young people, who threw fireworks at our vans and made racist remarks around midnight and we preferred to leave.
