Nice hike. But bring your hiking shoes with you. Would not recommend for 60+,except if you are very fit. Hike is not promoted on Main road, you need to drive to the end of the road where the path starts. We needed up and down 1.5 hours. (without Rest at top)
Nice walk, very windy on the top but you get a beautifull view in return.
Very far from the summit, nice ballad
Great short hike to the top, had a great weather so i could see half of the north island.
Nothing wrong with this ole hike. Good place to kill some time before you have to go to Auckland. 360 panoramic views. No crapper and it's steep at some parts so be prepared. Always poo in the loo!!!
Closed 1st of August til 30th of September for lamping on the farmlands around the peak
Walk very friendly! Very nice view at the top. But the path was very muddy! Provide good walking shoes
Great walk with nice view!
Wonderful view from the mountain in 360 degrees! Highly Recommended! It rained consistently for 4 days and the track was extremely muddy! We almost drowned in it, so check it up in nice weather! After about 45 minutes through the forest is still about 30-45 minutes over the pastures. For us the way was very exhausting, as it only leads uphill, but for the view it was worth it
Very nice hiking trail with great views, even the sky tower is recognizable. 1 1/2 - 2 hours should come.
