Park and all camping placed closed temporarily

Stayed here recently (April 2022). Longish unsealed Road to get to SCC ground from main road, currently logging so rutting of road to be expected. Some narrow areas so slightly tight if you have a big van. We managed fine in Kea Nomad. Parking is in a usually busy car park, so may have to wait if needing hard surface, but field was open too where tents are and we set up their. Good mountain bike and other tracks around the dam.

Lovely little area with a large area to camp/stay on. No cellular connection though.

Lovely place to come in our camper and enjoy the tranquility, bird life, hiking and cycling tracks.

Despite the two camper limit, this is a large green area with heaps of space. Perhaps it is designed mostly for tent based campers, of which there was only one other. The road in is good gravel but steep, it may be tricky in the wet. All up a great spot for a night.

A great place, right next to a river. A little bit hard to get to with a 6berth campervan... But well worth the cautious drive in. Lots of beautiful walks and nature. We were the only people there!

Lots of mosquitos but very quiet and spacious. Bbq areas for open fires. Picnic tables. Wee bit of a drive but worth it
