A super beautiful farm with a very nice owner! I don’t understand the negative reviews. The approach was not a problem at all with my van. It is a gravel road but well signposted where you have to go. I simply parked on the booked spot without “checking in”. In the afternoon I met the owner and he showed me the farm and I was allowed to feed the calves with him. I booked the powered site so that I have access to the warm shower :)

I showed up mid afternoon to get settled in. It was very unclear where to go and there was no one around. The amenities promised weren’t present. I had a large campervan and I was travelling solo. When I got to the top of a hill where the powered site was signed, it was almost impossible to turn around. When I tried it was unsafe. There is no number or way to contact the owners. I felt very stressed and uncomfortable and decided to not stay the night. I wouldn’t recommend a powered site.

We had a great time here. Jeff was a wonderful host (along with the adorable pups Arthur and Mo), very helpful and accommodating. We got to see all the very cute calves up close during feeding time. Beautiful property. Even saw a double rainbow when we first got there. Hiked to the falls as well. Even got some farm fresh eggs that were delicious! Highly recommend and would stay here again.

Beautiful site ! Geoff and Lynne were lovely. On our first evening there we were given a tour around the farm. Met the calves, lambs, chickens and of course Arthur and Mo Mo (the doggos). Geoff gave us great advice on our hike to Hunna falls (which is stunning). Facilities were clean and as described with warm water !!! Our stay felt very personal will definitely stay again in the future. Could not recommend enough!

Rural site, beautiful views. Lovely family who run it. They are upgrading the sites too and no doubt will be the best campsite around! Thanks.

Lovely quiet, clean and safe area for camping. Great setting and very scenic. Great to meet Jeff, Lynn and Sam. 100% recommend!

This camp site, is hands down the best unpowered campsite we have been to so far in the north island. It is so beautiful we stayed an extra night. Both evenings we were the only ones there and Jeff, the owner, greeted us and made sure we were all set. On the property, all the amenities were clean and lots of flat spots next to fire pits (wood provided). You can take the provided kayaks down the creek to the top of Hunua falls (which is right next to where you’re parked up). Absolutely stunning!!

What an amazing spot next to the river great host and could not believe how beautiful it was

best campsite close to auckland! went to unpowered site next to the river. toilets, shower and host came down to let us know things to look for (eels, glowworms etc) also have fire pits available for use! would definitely come again. came in tents rather than camper!
