Waharau CSC Overnight Parking area

On the eastern side of the rugged Hunua Ranges, Waharau extends from the range to the coast. Enjoy farmland, river banks and forest for camping, picnics, walking and mountain biking. Can park in main parking area only as conditions allow.

Summer (daylight savings) and Winter: Self contained campervans can stay for 1 night in the SCC parking area. Winter Special: Self contained campervans can stay up to 3 nights in the SCC parking area when the vehicle based campground is closed. The Blackberry and Tainui vehicle based campgrounds offer up to seven nights stay for self contained vehicles.
