Absolutely lovely! Only 3 of us here last night, very quiet all night and this morning. The walk along the bay is really nice, great swing on the beach! Short stroll to shops and a bar. Toilets clean and flushing. Good place to stop.

Security comes around and checks the vehicles, make sure you’re self contained as he didn’t seem too friendly. Clean toilets.

Best freedom camping we had so far: beautiful place, peaceful, close to a lovely beach (with swings), lots of space (about 8 spots) but only 3 other vans were there with us. best of all: big supermarket and lots of food options in walking distance. Highly recommend the artisan bakery.

Absolutely wonderful spot. Stayed one night but can be there two consecutive nights and dont have to be out by 9am. Toilets were open all night and very clean. Beautiful views and a nice walking track around the reserve.

Such a great spot, nice walking track and bathrooms were clean and open all night, plenty of spots but they do fill up so get there early

Beautiful spot right down on the Harbour Front. Popular walking and bike track in front so expect a lot of people passing by. Only down side was 2 derros parked in wrong spot drinking and playing loud music for 2 days straight. Night security came down but didn't say a word. Can't choose your neighbour's free camping though.

Google Maps directions for this are slightly wrong - it wants to take you a bit further up Margaret Drive/Place, but turn into Colney Reserve as soon as you see the driveway down into it. There is space for at least seven self-contained vehicles, plus other daytime parking. Also a brand-new toilet block which is not yet noted in camper mate, nor in the photo. Review as of Feb 2024

Nice freedom camp with new, well-maintained toilets. It wasn't too crowded either. The supermarket is just around the corner and it's easy to go for a walk.

Great Spot, sea view, walks, cycling. Supermarket etc hop, step & jump away, only thing I didn't like is that my toy dogs or any dog not allowed in the sea.
