The road is only closed after the campsite, and it's a beautiful spot. A security guard took down the vehicle's details. He also confirmed that free camping is allowed. However, there are no toilets.
Pleasant level area alongside river and close to rail bridge. No facilities. Space for 8-10 vans I guess. A few lumbering goods trains went slowly by which weren't too noisy. Ranger came at 6pm and turned someone off- maybe not self contained, or been there too long..? One boy racer came down, turned round and did a couple of burnouts just round the corner so didn't bother us. All in all, OK.
Nice quiet space by the river, station road is currently closed but can access via Clark Road. Flat, good signal. Busy in the morning with dog walkers and cyclists. No toilet nearby. Loud at night with boy racers drifting from 1am to 4am also setting off fireworks.
Great location but as others have mentioned there is a few trains during the night but not to bad. Only downside was the local car enthusiast doing burnouts on a Friday night/Saturday morning. Road is closed from the south so you need to get to it from the north end of the road. No toilets
Nice area. Fits 8-10 campervans. No light at night. Regular noise from train, but not too bothersome
Google maps avoided the closed road, and I easily arrived. Stunning views. Lots of birds, including friendly fowl. The train is close, but not much of a bother. Beautiful walks in both directions. For one night, it did the trick.
Couldn't access due to a road closure which did not specify a reopening date.
Be careful! We stayed there one night and a car with a group came to shoot with firework and scream loud. We were really afraid of them.
Road closed..
Okay! The road are not closed anymore
