Very nice spot, safe and next to the toilet. Wind can be quite strong here if its coming from inland
Really nice spot, we stayed here for 2 nights, toilets open all night and a cold shower. We felt safe
3 spots in the lot but only 1 space here (the other two are further away). Quiet, solo spot for a night or two right beside public bathrooms, sport fields, and a great view on Mt Maunganui. Beautiful sunset view!
One of the best. Quiet at night. Toilets and cold showers available aswell as a tap, bbq's and rubbish facilities. Only one spot here, 2 more in the main carpark, but not as good as further from shower, worse view, and likely noisier and on more of a slope.
Tried to park here and someone with a big ass moterhome covered the whole area so no one else could park here! So selfish if you have a big moterhome please donβt be a dick about it!!!
Tried to park up here on a Sunday which is not allowed so had to drive elsewhere. Really nice spot! Good cold showers.
Someone parked a caravan at one place and his car on another, so two spots taken. Thanks Guys!
Nice 1 spot just next to toilets and changing rooms with cold shower (1 for women, 1 for men). There is also a rubbish bin and a water tap (usually used for dogs), but you canβt get to it with a car. Many people walking their dogs, exercising, running, swimming in the sea and just chilling make nice atmosphere and we also got several thumbs ups for being there with our van - extraordinary! Itβs good to be there early - yesterday we came around 6pm and it was full, today we came at 4pm and got the spot. ?
A lovely spot to set up camp for the night. Especially in good weather. Only three spots available. We got the one right next to the bathroom, and around 9:45 someone tried to steal something from under our car. Beware of leaving anything outside the car and suspicious activity.
An incredible place to stay with BBQ, toilets, soccerfield, at the water...! For all Angler: The water is quite flat, so you will need to cast long distance. Best place for "deeper" water (1-3m hightide) is at the boatramp. Good Luck and dont let the crabs annoy you?
