The path itself was very beautiful, we drove the whole way on the other side, but there were huge rocks and stones all over the road that had fallen from the slopes. We had to get out the whole way and put them away in order to continue driving. It would have been good if there had been signs at the beginning of the path. Beautiful scenery, nice campsites along the way.

The view on the other side of the lake is really great, but the road was completely redesigned a few days ago. Which is good, but ... You can't go faster than 30kmh because there are stones everywhere. We drove through, but it took us a long time.

On the other side of the road coming from Oamaru, nice arrival on the dam and beautiful marshy banks with trees in the water. A worker from the dam advised us to cross the dam to continue a stretch of road on the north side, then to go back to the next dam. More beautiful road.
