A true haven of peace. A dip in the river after two days of long hikes. Very pleasant welcome, clean kitchen. We would gladly return.

Feels like it has gone down hill since new owners. Showers and toilets were pretty dirty. Kayaks were dodgy and kept filling with water, swim area was pretty rough and not maintained. Lodge has been boarded off to create separate space. Playground not even in close distance to camp so kids weren't keen on even using it. Disappointing trip. Needs lots of maintenance to get it up to standard.

Great van park, kitchen was great as were the facilities in the lodge. Awesome spot on a back reach of the river with kayaks and SUPs you could borrow and a beautiful swimming spot.

We were here spontaneously. It was good that there was enough space, the river right next to it was great for swimming and the people on the site were a good mix. The showers were clean, a few things were missing from the kitchen and unfortunately we only found out from the note that we could buy WiFi for 5 NZD. We weren't told anything at reception. One night was totally fine.

It was a bit crowded during our stay.We also noticed that there are not enough facilities when the campsite is full.There was a row for the shower and toilets were not always clean.The kitchen was nice and fully equipped.

Great small campground, new owners have great plans. Kids loved the kayaks and swimming hole. Lodge and kitchen needs a freshen up but overall a great kiwi campground. We will be back

Really cute family owned campsite, very quiet and right on the river. Clean bathrooms, hot unlimited showers and good kitchen facilities. No wifi but can buy if you need it! Can walk into town too

Scenic location by Waitaki River, tranquil spot, fishing nearby, clean facilities. Peaceful, no WiFi without $5 additional cost.

Pretty good facilities, showers are unlimited, but only one temperature and they were very hot. WiFi was available but not included in the price. We bought one WiFi voucher(10 GB for 24hours), which was 5NZD$

Really friendly and accommodating to our needs . Will be back again over summer
