Amazing lookout - especially if you enjoy dam architecture. But the road across the dam is currently closed so it’s a huge detour.

Road open to the dam. Possibility to take photos of the top and bottom of the valley. There are beautiful colors in the fall, but it is still a barrier.

We drove from Otematata to the Dam. The road is very beautiful and you have a nice view of the dam. Unfortunately the road on the dam is closed right now.

Meh - it's a dam. I would recommend folks take the road on the east side of the dam rather than the main road. It's lined with beautiful flowers and large wild rose bushes.
