Beautiful spot! 2 porta potties (which were very clean), right along the river and short ~10 minute walk to beach. Sunrise is stunning and the area is just super nice. Lota of other campers but so much space to spread out. ~30 from Picton Ferry.

A really good spot! A few signs do say no camping on the way down the trackbut if you keep going there’s a sign clearly marked for camping. Really beautiful there was quite a few campers there but it’s a large area so there was heaps of space only porta loos but a great spot.

Great spot. Surprising amount of campers but still plenty of room. Amazing stars at night if you can brave the cold. A couple porta-loos that were really clean with toilet roll

Was a Freedom Camping Virgin before this site, and got to say I love it now. Site was easy enough to find and we woke up to beautiful views of the river and mountains. There are two portable toilets, both clean and stocked with toilet paper. Simple but great experience.

Hard to decide between positive and neutral on this one! It served its purpose well due to being in close proximity to the ferry. Unfortunately, we arrived in the pitch black which made it quite difficult to see where we were supposed to be going. The road leading up to it is gravel for about a mile. However, once we’d figured this out and parked up we felt safe with only a few other campers there! There was two portaloos but nothing else. Phone reception was good. Nothing really close by.

Big campsite by the river and near the beach. 2 port loos not smelly at all. More than enough space. Wind is very strong at night. Signal is good.

Sign says no camping but continue 1.3km down and you'll see more clear signage, plenty of flat space. P.S maps took us the wrong way towards private property so just have a closer look on maps and you'll find the right turn off
