A beautiful DOC campsite next to White's Bay. There are three levels of campsites, the lowest being a short walk to the beach, but be mindful there is a public beach carpark and a surf lifesaving clubhouse at the bottom. We stayed 3 nights and were the only people there. Be mindful the campsite is mostly in the shade, only getting sun between 10 and 2 on a good day, so the grass is often soggy and can be muddy. The road to the campsite is sealed, and although windy, doable even in large vans.

Big camp located at the end of a very windy, cliff side road. Next to the beach but no views from the camp - if this is what you are after there’s a beach one site over where you can sleep directly facing the sea. Plenty of space even in Mid January. No phone signal. Clean toilets.

Really good value for money, loads of space, many flush toilets, nice cold private showers, beach toilets and beach showers, can top up your water tank.

Temporary closure due to floods - try Rarangi a little further along the road! ☺️

The campsite was absolutely amazing however the road from Blenheim to the campsite was a bit rough the hill part had rocks down quite bad and the road itself on the hill was very difficult to navigate if you have a large camper I highly recommend you take it slowly the campsite is definitely worth the drive I highly recommend the pukatea Walking track for the glow worms as that was absolutely amazing

Half an hour from the ferry. Decent grassy campsite among the hills and trees, with a little bay looking down the coast. No phone reception except out on the beach. Entry gates closed 9pm -7am

Nice glow worms. Easy to find just go find the glow worm area during the day so you know where it is then go again when it’s dark to see them.

Beautiful little Cove with a range of walking trails that include some amazing views. Non powered sites and cold showers that didn't bother me. As for other comments regarding no sea views from campsites- this is to protect the dunes as is very important to sea birds in new Zealand. Still extremely close to the beach and you can hear the sea roaring through the day and night. One of my favourite spots so far- a real gem of a place. Will definitely be back here with the children

It's an ok campsite and has a cool bay. Almost no spots with sea view (there is a lot better campsites in regards to view within 1h like "the station"). Avoid season weekend, I was shocked how full it was (Saturday, Feb 28) and almost left again. 3/5

Beautiful spot and hardly any sandflies. Non potable water and one set of bathrooms. Just a big old field that’s a free for all to camp on. Seemed disorganized FULL of kids and just a weird vibe. The cove is gorgeous though.
