The spots are numbered 1-5 but a bit unclear and hard to find. It’s a carpark in the centre of town so a bit busy and some noise but close enough to public toilets and some nice spots to go out to nearby.
Paid parking until 5 pm and free on Sundays. Well located in town and toilets 100m away that close at 10 pm.
Fine spot but just a concrete carpark. Some noise at night but nothing too wild. Very bright from the streetlights. Public toilet over at the next carpark which shuts at 9pm and opens at 6am. (The toilet also plays you smooth jazz as you poop so that’s something)
I phoned the council today as I could not find the faded numbering of freedom camping spots. The lady at the council (after lots of checking with colleagues) said park anywhere in the carpark but only if there are not 6 campervans already parked there.
Don't arrive before 6pm as its a carpark used by everyday workers & shoppers and very busy & full during the day. We arrived at 1pm, but couldn't park no spaces so ended up finding a paid site just out of town.
Just a parking lot but tons of space and quiet. Park near the center if you want to avoid street lights. On Feb 28 the toilets were closed and the closest working was very far away.
Perfectly fine for the night. But car park so had no issues with finding a space. Close to the toilets.
Good spot for the night in the centre of town if you want to walk around. Lots of space, toilets close by. A bit noisy in the morning, but maybe because it was bin day. Need to be out by 9am.
Rocked up at 10pm for a 645 Ferry, we weren't bothered at all. Great spot with loads of parks for early ferry crossings.
Good spot, toilets close, had a large camper here. No issues. Central to cafes, just pay for parking after 9am.
