A quiet and pleasant place in a gorge on the bank of the river. Please be careful, there is very little network and the wind blows easily!
Unpowered site with campervan. We arrived about 5.30 and it was just us and one other campervan in a huge field so lots of space. Fairly flat ground by a river and just off Highway 2, but if you park far enough back there is minimal noise. 1 small bin but as it was quiet this was not an issue. 2 (hole in the ground) toilets with proper loo seats, didn’t use as self contained. 5 min walk to Tui Brewery, definitely worth checking out, but not open all the time.
2 drop toilets only - there is one bin which gets filled up quickly so you may need to take your rubbish with you - it’s next to a road which you can hear sometimes during the day but it never bothered me at night - there is a river that runs along side and is lovely to swim in when it’s hot - I was camping on my own and always felt safe and I ended up staying for 4 nights
Basic campsite, but perfect for a overnight stop. Large grassy fields. Toilets were clean. Next to a road. It is not very loud, but you do to hear it sometimes
Exceptionally peaceful no traffic noise super clean drop toilet with paper! Solid grd for large motorhomes ( no heavy rain at this point) grassy with clear water people river to have a cold plunge. Highly recommended. Missed the very impressive brewery was closed when arrived and exited. Top find! Approx 15 ks ahead is great fish n chip shop too!
Easy access, lovely spot with clean toilets
Plenty of spaces to park. Access to toilets, some tables and the river. You might even spot a rooster and a chicken!
A comfortable option for a short stay, though light sleepers might find the street noise noticeable at times.
Definitely worth a night to have some drinks at brewery, toilets clean, can access brewery under bridge to save crossing road
Very nice parking space, enough space. Wifi only available in the brewery.
