Very friendly owner Mike who gave our children ice lollies and lots of useful information about what to see and do. On the lake with views to the mountains - just Saunas are complimentary but you do need to book a time slot. Wood fire pizza oven 😋
Great facilities, clean showers and toilets and well equipped kitchen. Booked unpowered site but were given powered. Quite close quarters with neighbouring vans, but there were screens/trees to give some privacy. Decent for the price and good location for early start to Milford Sound!
Bit disappointed overall. Small van space, only 1 washing machine working (upgrade in process with 6 new machines with tap pay but quite frustrating for the number of people trying to use it). Decent kitchen space and nice bathrooms, hot showers. Hot tub experience enjoyable but no storage out of the rain for items, couldn’t get the sauna to work properly and no staff on site at booked time.
The value was 62 for two people today (day 17/09/2026). The whole place is very good, well-equipped kitchen, great shower)
Facilities were very clean and kitchen had lots of hobs for cooking, good phone service and best showers we’ve had, ideal location and staff were very friendly and helpful. $50 for 2 people non-powered spot, very good value for money
As parents of an active 9 and 11 year old this place was made for us by the people that work here. They came and found us by the jumping pillow to offer our kids ice lollies and explain that there were some bikes/scooters etc available for their use. They also had some origami activities in the office. It isn’t the shiniest or most up date in terms of the kitchen but showers were hot and unlimited and our kids had a blast. We liked the friendly cat too. Thank you for your generous welcome!
This place is tidy and clean, and it's a great spot to stay if you're taking a Milford Sounds tour - they even offer a pickup service! However, the kitchen can get pretty busy and noisy. On the bright side, there's a lovely cat on the premises, although some campers weren't treating it very well. The showers are fine, but the campsite itself doesn't feel very natural. On the plus side, it's located right next to a stunning lake and mountain view.
Bathroom kitchen washing machine and other facilities, very close to RealNZ, comfortable campsite
Great stay here! We arrived pretty late after reception had closed but the night manager was really great. He helped us out as soon as we arrived and even let us use the hot tubs! Bathrooms were pretty tidy as well. Would stay here again 💯
Thanks you guys!! Easy to be friendly to great humans!! Enjoy life team!!
Nice enough site but not worth the higher price mark. Sauna is included for 30mins but have to book a slot. Hot tubs are $30 for a hour. Kitchen is suboptimal with no kettles, pans, utensils provided so may as well cook in the van. Showers are clean enough but nothing amazing. Good location.
