Very average for a superior camp site, you have to pay to use kitchen equipment and everything is out dated. Does not compare to Kingston Top 10 in any way which is a Classic. Poor wifi.
Amazing stay! Super quiet at night, clean bathrooms, lounge area is warm and spacious. Site is well lit at night so it’s easy to walk around. Short walk from the town centre.
Staff were lovely. Nice central area in Te Anau, amenities are a probably a tad out of date but overall not bad.
This was our first experience of a top 10 and we thought it was brilliant! Hot and good water pressure showers. Good WiFi, great kitchen with lots of space. Lots of fresh water points and early dump station. Nothing to complain about!
We had a lovely, quiet spot. But otherwise, the facilities are very outdated. All the games for children are extra. They've tried to maximize the number of pitches by cramming people in; there was even one in a campervan 5 meters from the dump station in the car park…!
Was on a powered site around the back. Small sites, could hear everything going on in neighbour's vans. Some travellers seem never to sleep.! Facilities are fine, as is location.
One of the coziest eating and lounge areas, we encountered during our 4 week camping holiday. Enough space for everyone to cook, sit, play games in the evening. The toilets, showers and kitchen were super clean. You can book a nice hot tub for 30 mins. We would definately stay here again.
I can give you several explanations why is not the best place to go: - so expensive (120NZDxnight) - use of toys need to pay (10NZD for 1/2hr) - laundry expensive (6cleaner + 2 soap + 6 dryer give a total of 14NZD per wash!) - toilets without heaters (only a mini one that is absolutely useless) - not friendly welcome - everything under refurbishment but same price - family room needs a key to open but the key is on reception (only open from 8:30 to 6pm!!) - wifi not running well - premium top10?
Receptionist was great, kind and helpful. But toilets are very important to me and this was not it. There were 4 showers, 2 were out of service, same goes for the toilets. And it all looked pretty unclean. Also, the taps at the sink were kind of stupid. 1 faucet for hot water and 1 faucet for cold water, how does that make sense? We paid for 2 nights but we just couldn’t, we moved to another park instead. So if clean toilets are as important to you, you might want to reconsider.
Great place to stay. Receptionist very helpful. Facilities good. Short walk to the lake and the restaurants are just across the road. Ideal stop off for going on to Milford Sound
