Favourite spot on Abel Tasman ?

If you’re hiking through the Abel Tasman, you HAVE to stay at this spot. Was a stunning campground.

Beautiful campsite on a sandbank. Means you will be setting your tent on sand. Very idyllic. Small kitchen area, flush toilets and outdoor cold shower - perfect.

Fresh water and a shower

Amazing bay, it feels special to be able to sleep in such place, even though it was very very busy. And windy, but it stopped during the night.

Compared to all the other campsites around it is busier, but still very calm. The whole area between Torrent bay and Bark bay has been treated with poison against possums, which means water from streams is not ok.

Slept there in a tent and it was just amazing. A beautiful spot on a sand bank with drinking water, wonderful. Www. Always-wandering. Com

Undoubtedly the campsite not to miss! Gorgeous views ... When the tide is in between it makes a nice pool! An ideal retreat for kayaking.

Sweet spot, nice fresh water available and the sound if the insects is just awesome.

Certainly the best campsite of this walking track. The bay is wonderful. The best spot to camp is at the very end of the campsite. The only problem (at the moment) are the mice. (Holes in tents, some food ruined, etc...) So keep your food in a safe place. But this may change, because they are dealing with the problem.
