No toilet paper at 20:40pm.
Absolutely Gorgeous Park. Will definitely be staying here again. Lots of spots to choose from, quiet and efficient. Nice bathrooms, and efficient payment system. The river is lovely, but also wish there were some Showers onsite and it'd be perfect for longer stays.
Absolutely superb!! Just a heads-up, the park closes after 6 pm and a barrier prevents access. There's a phone number that allows someone to open it remotely. After 10 pm, it's no longer possible to pay at the machine; we slipped some money into an envelope. We loved the proximity to the Rivendell filming location, and the campsite itself was fantastic :) There were toilets nearby with sinks and soap, and everything was spotless.
The campsite is beautiful, clean and most importantly huge, everyone will find their own place there. Flushing clean toilets, grills, picnic tables and also sinks for washing dishes. Access to the river and beautiful circuits through the forest.
Very lovely, calm campsite, plenty of space, toilets, sinks to wash dishes, bins for rubbish and recycling. Slept to the gentle sounds of river.
What a campsite. Found it by accident because we wanted to see the nature around Rivendell. Very large grassy fields, a lot next to the river. Lots of open spaces. Facilities are good. Lower terraces are in my opinion the best as they are next to the river. However, powered sites are only at the upper terraces
Perfect place. Very large. Outdoor bbq-facilities. Clean toilets. Close to several good walks and tramps. Rivendell is 20-30 minutes' easy walk away. You pay for your spot using creditcard as you enter.
A great and spacious place with clean toilets. We spent one night there and felt very comfortable.
Payment terminals are handy but are very picky with how you present your payment. The grassy areas are expansive so you can just drive to a spot you like and distance yourself from other campers. The best places are in the lower valley along the rivers edge of areas 6,7 and 9. There are shelters with free cookers, sinks, outlets and toilets that were all clean and modern. But no showers.
So much space however being winter a bit muddy to take camper van onto grassed areas. Saying this, it’s quiet and peaceful, sun goes down behind mountains early in winter so gets cold quick. Lots of toilet blocks and bbq areas. No showers. Make sure you pay at the machine. Only $8 for one person in a now powered place, bargain
