Lovely campsite in nature, nearby a river, just like the other DoC campsites we visited. Campervans can only park on a gravel parking lot adjacent to the lawn, this didn’t bother us. Toilets were non-flush, yet clean. Some beautiful hiking trails started from the campground. It was definitely worth the $10 per person (like others already said, you can’t use the DoC pass here).

Nice and quite. The ranger came at 7 am to check the cars. I didn't pay because I didn't have the exact amount but he was really nice. But you can pay only cash.

Attention ! This Campsite is not included in the pass Small river on the side and clean toilets but expensive for the price. With the rain the terrain was not completely accessible

For the price you don't get much, but this one is much like most cheap DOC campsites: tables, drop toilets and some grass for tents. No water (except from the river) or sink. We got here after a week of rain and the road was not too bad, even though the parking space has a few holes, so be careful! We were the only car but felt save.

Great place to stay. Not too many sandflies, and very close to the beautiful river. If you walk along the riverbanks at night you can see glow worms :)

When we arrived we saw what was basically a graveled car park and a very high unmowned field next to it ( like 30 cm up) so not the best place to put a tent off season. Dry toilets but no running water, you have to go to the river for that. Spot must be nicer in very hot summer days !

Nice campsite but can’t use DOC camp passes here anymore and no signal to check when you get there DOC guy comes early like other reviews say, he’s really nice but you do have to follow him into town to pay if you don’t have cash

Drove the gravel road in our jucy van to find a full gravel car park. Both of us so confused with nowhere to take the van into the shade or what seemed like the campsite. Definitely TENTS ONLY. Popular swimming spot.
