Loved this campsite, great location and facilities, even in the middle of winter.
Really great site - clean and tidy. Staff polite, friendly and helpful Facilities are great - really lovely hot showers for a dollar - proper recycling and waste disposal - nice kichen with hobs, oven, microwave and fridges Very easy access to great clean sandy beach
Whatever you do, don't go to this campsite. I made a mistake and they charged me 132 NZD. They refuse to refund me. It's pure bad faith. They tell you they'll refund you, and as soon as you're gone, it's all forgotten. They're nothing but thieves, and they've left me with a bitter taste in my mouth about New Zealand. Don't go there.
A very good campsite with everything you'll need. Right next the beach, but no beachview. We booked earlier that day, but arrived after office hours. There was a welcoming letter with our info in the box next to office.
Excellent park. Friendly staff. Immaculately clean toilets and showers.
Decent Top10 and under $50 for a 1 night powered site with membership. Located about an hours drive from Cape Farewell. Showers and toilets very clean - and yes it’s $1 a shower but who needs more than 6 minutes?! WiFi excellent. Great value Nikau Cafe & Bar literally over the road. General store next door.
Stayed here for two nights in mid November. Good location on the beach - although views are blocked by hedges - but easy access. Good, clean facilities - and great there were some bars/ eating places right outside the park. The cost of the showers has been mentioned previously but just build that into your budget - it didn’t put us off. It’s a long drive from Blenheim/ Nelson but worth it.
Worst TOP 10 place so far. Although well occupied, only 1 kitchen block is open, quite a crowd, you have to wait. Cleanliness depends more on the guests. You are told to choose a place, but it is not registered, so you get a nasty surprise when you come back after a trip because the place is occupied by others. Noisy guests until late at night. No barrier, little security, anyone can enter after the reception closes. Internet is fine.
It is pretty expansive, considering you have to pay for the showers and there was no dishwasher liquid and brushes available. The beach is very nice though!
Awesome place to stay. Not very busy in mid-end November and is right on the beach.
