Very spacious campground with clean facilities- cleaning every morning. Beautiful beach, lagoon and good options for a walk. Winding gravel road.

Beautiful campsite, right on the beach, a shark was spotted near the coast around 4pm, but didn't hurt anyone. The campsite has cold showers, nice toilets, sinks, all super. Most of the area has no signal, WiFi at the reception. Plenty of elderly.

So beautiful and yes indeed there are a lot of local families enjoying their holidays, nice to mingle with them. It was quiet in the evening, no noise problems or anything. Good facilities and beautiful beach! Gravel road not great but doable

Decent place to base yourself if hiking to the north section of Abel (which is worth it!!) but otherwise very full of long-term families with large set ups so not the most relaxing - use of showers also possible if you're not staying (all campsite toilet blocks have two cold showers)

Great campsite with good facilities - shower, toilets, sinks for washing up, grey water dump station and water throughout. Brilliant links right to the Abel Tasman Track and right in a gorgeous beach too. The drive in isn’t awful but is gravel. Recommend Totos pizza on the way in or out!

Great campsite! So much space to spread out. Easy access to coastal track. Gorgeous beach at campsite. Cold showers & flush toilets. No kitchen facilities or trash, so bring all you’ll need. Road getting there is a bit dusty and may be narrow for big campers.

Absolutely loved this place! The sandflies are horrible, but where aren’t they on the west coast? Beach is awesome. There were just a few visitors so we had it all for ourselves. Nice hikes starting here. Cold showers, flush toilets. Kids 2 and 4 loved the place.

Fantastic location! Right next to the beach and plenty of day hikes nearby if you don’t want to pay for a water taxi - recommend coast track north from campsite to separation point. Site basically empty in July. Friendly ranger who comes around to check bookings. Toilets were very clean (but no lights). Showers only cold. Be warned the road into the site is an unsealed, narrow and windy road on a mountain. But doable with 2WD (likely even with a big campervan). Phone signal was patchy (2deg)

Beautiful place. Bush. Friendly ranger. Friendly birds (because no dogs allowed). Practically no one else here. We're waiting out the wet, looking forward to getting out for walks and fishing when it clears. One of the best yet. Great time of year to come though watch the weather and check the roads first. Patchy phone signal but there are reliable spots to be found. Be prepared for the sand flies.

Massive Campground, luckily we were in low season, peak season up to 800 people. Now very quiet, on the beach. Flush toilets, cold showers. 35 min dirt road to get there, but definitely worth it.
