Gravel track blocked as trees are over grown. There is parking off the road about 20meters down track but road was to noisy for us. So we didn’t stay the night.
Lovely little spot. Clean. We didn’t see anyone else while here. Road in looks to have recent work done on it- well graveled and easy to drive.
No issue with the site, not much going on for toilets or anything. There is a bridge next to it which is worth visiting also, the track to it is fairly alright, just take your time with it
The main parking is quite big (around 8 places) and you have some more places around, witch is nice. Good toilet but non toilet paper.
Road in is fine - follow Google Maps to the turn off Hwy 1 and from then IGNORE Maps - keep a look out on right for signed turn off to Urchin Campground and PoH etc It's all weather gravel tracks from here on in, in fair condition atm. Take your time esp lowest gear down the hill to PoH and you'll be fine. Our van is 7m. PoH parking is tight. Worth a visit but we're staying 5 min away at Urchin as flatter, more sun and a toilet. Noone else around. Very peaceful in dense bushland.
Road is not even a real road. Sign says bike trail. Don‘t drive here!
We tried to go to Waihaha valley but it doesn't exist on the signs there. We came after sunset, which was not very smart because there are many roads there, maps doesn't know the roads and the signs are very confusing and sometimes send you the wrong way. We did find Waikoko valley which was a nice big campsite with lots of campers but doesn't have a toilet. We ended up at the Hercules pillars which has place for 3-4 vans and is nice and quiet (also no toilet).
absolutely not. far to hard to acess even a 4WD would struggle. track in doesn't seem to be maintained at all. no turn around space. Easy to get stuck. would not recommend
Cute little lot, very quiet, but with a rather steep entry. Wouldn't recommend for a large RV or in the rain/mud. We were the only campervan here this eve.
Quite and beautiful. I am only one stay here today with my caravan.
