Good spot in a parking lot. You have to walk through the stadium to get to the toilets. Quite quiet spot, mountain views. Trash cans available.
Great freedom campsite! We were here with 3 children. Large rugbyfield to play in, clean toilets, peaceful area. Recommend it!
We stayed 3 nights. Nice and quiet. Lovely walk around the wetland. Clean toilets behind the rugby grandstand. On Thursday night at 2pm before Good Friday after pub closing, 2 cars with youngsters rocked up to hang out and play loud music. After an hour they left without causing major trouble, just a bit loud.
Quiet parking area with a lovely view of the mountains on one side and a rugby field on the other. Okay for one night. Toilets closed between 7:00 AM and 6:30 PM. Maximum 6 campers. The police patrolled in the evening and morning.
Stayed for one night and was lovely and quiet. People walk their dogs at night and in the morning . Siren went off at 8am so don’t be alarmed
Very quiet, no issues with people using the park and dog walkers etc
We stayed there for a night, really quiet. One other van was there so we felt safe.
We stayed here overnight during the winter. I'm normally a nervous RVer (back dark parking lots in the middle of nowhere make me think we'll be troubled by yahoos), but this place was great. Not too dark, 2 or 3 other vans/RVs, meant I felt super safe. Abothrooms a 3 min walk away across field. We did the wetlands walk, it was magic. Would stay again for sure! Te Aroha's such a sweer little place.
The place was good for sleeping and nice and clean. There was a little more going on because there was a park here, but it didn't bother us. The toilets were closed.
This spot was fabulous for a night. Very friendly locals, fabulous evening walk in the wetlands and washrooms a quick walk away (they didn’t close overnight despite saying they would). Would recommend!!
