Absolutely gorgeous place. Sea coming into river was cool. Sandflie overload so dont forget yr insect repellent

Beautiful hut and campsite. Many sandflies, but not in the hut. The toilets are flush toilets. The hut has room for 32,which seems like a lot. When we were there, it felt quite full with 25.

Lovely site and a perfect overnight trip in and out from Kohaihai. Yes there's sandflies - as everywhere on the west coast! Take long layers and repellant. An incredible sunset, good facilities and an awesome gentle walk in along the coast and bush. Churrr !

Absolutely secret tip, this campground! Direct camping along the riverbed. Fireplace available. Three toilets, which are kept clean. Tip: watch the spectacle when the flood arrives!!! But countless sandflies. That's the price for it...
