The last 1.5km of the road is rough and very narrow. We went in our 6m camper but I am glad we didn’t meet another camper! We came out early in the morning to avoid any others. Once there it’s a lovely spot 5-10 minutes walk from a beautiful beach where I had a lovely swim in the surf. The Coastal Track also starts at the campsite. Very few others camping here late in February. A highlight was the kakas who fly around the area.

We got in here in our BIG 7m early 2000’s Trailite, class 2... So can be done in a larger motorhome.. Need good ground clearance it’s bumpy and steep. WELL worth it :)

Good sized campsite in a beautiful location. Lovely beach a few hundred meters from the campsite. Facilities are a bit tired compared to the other DOCsites on the island. Access to the site is via a narrow dirt road which would be a challenge for larger vehicles, but well worth the effort. A couple of nice walking tracks start from the camp site.
