Good view and the restrooms are okay. It can get noisy in the evenings because teenagers hang out there and play loud music.

Really nice two spots right by the beach. Has rubbish bins, picnic tables, a water fountain, a playground, and cold outdoor showers. Bathrooms were fine but closed from 8pm to 7am (winter). It was very busy with runners / people walking their dogs except between 8pm and 5am. The train goes by every couple hours and is pretty noisy.

My worst experience freedom camping in NZ. 2 spots in the middle on the green only, nice toilets nearby, great views. BUT. 2 other cars with homeless drug addicts with a dog stayed in the parking lot, we got locked in with them because of the gate. Worst night freedom camping so far, police was involved, didn't feel safe, didn't sleep.

Spent 2 nights back to back here. Nice quiet spot, room for 2 vans in small spaces. Benches, drinking water and bbq on the grass behind spaces. Toilets open all night, clean and with toilet roll and soap. Gates locked at 9pm (summer times) & opened at 5.30am. Nice views of the Mount and a good spot to wade into the estuary or run along the sea front. Busy with dog walkers in the evening.

Nice spot! Has a beautiful view of Mount Maunganui. Has bathrooms, water fill ups and space for two vans. The gate does get locked at 6 pm and doesn’t reopen till the morning.

BBQ out of order. Nasty toilets. But all in all a nice spot BUT there are creepy people parking near by, smocking crack or meth here and drive off later. We left the spot the next morning. That is again not the first time in Tauranga area where we leave because we don’t feel safe or feel bad energy around the people. I did not expect such a big drug problem when we came here from Europe. Very sad and dangerous. These people drive while bein high on substances. Not good.

Nice spot but the toilets seem to not have lights even though it seemed to be open 24/7.

A beautiful place, it has bathrooms, barbecue and fountain.

Only 2 spots and the green paint marking them is barely visible. Only the disabled toilet was in use when we visited. Lovely and quiet with a fantastic view of the Mount, and walking distance to the shops.
