Lovely spot. We swam in the waterfall pool, 20min walk away (40min return). The toilet does let it down, smelly small and dirty. Worth staying if you can do your business beforehand!
Very quiet at night. Cars drive and may not wake you up again until around 6:30 a.m. Better keep the toilet closed ;) The path to the waterfall is super nice, especially in the early morning air.
Camping is closed now till may 2021. Very quiet place and not signal for Vodafone or Spark at all. I wouldn’t recommend it.
A bit creepy to sleep there alone at night, but otherwise a lovely place and the Te Ana falls track is beautiful. You can swim in the fall, so bring swimsuit.
Not too bad. Road noise woke me up a few times, and the toilet is a bit gross. But it's quiet, and the nearby stream and waterfall are lovely. Stars were excellent too
Parking stop pretty much next to the road, bit of traffic during the day but dies down at night. Drop toilet with a lot of dead and some living flies. Fine otherwise, ok for a night but the lake campground 15 km north is way more quiet.
