Recent works means easily room for 3 campers and space on the other side too. Phone mast generator is quite loud but you just don't notice it after a while. Barely any traffic passed. Toilet was fine, left a loo roll as nearly all gone, toilet tax! Simple stop, better than driving this road when tired or if dark. We felt perfectly safe.
Very small, 2 campervan MAX. Toilets are ok, but we felt SO unsecured that we never managed to sleep... I don't really recommend sleeping here.
Very small, on side of road. Would recommend going to Ohinepane Reserve instead
Very small area, quiet road. Generator drones on but quickly becomes white noise. Drop toilet
Great little spot to stop while traveling Hwy 43. Small area for ~4 small campers or ~2 large ones. Campsite does have simple toilet. Brand new cell tower installed right by the campsite which gives this spot an amazing connection 24/7 in the middle of absolute nowhere. Does run on a generator periodically which can be a bit loud and don’t worry, the radio waves are harmless. Keep in mind that it is not a designated campground! But there is also not a “no camping” sign.
This is not an official place for Freedom Camping. I can partially confirm the previous comment. In this area we could find many possums or similar. Observe. So be careful when driving in this area. ?
Small parking bay for max. 3 cars. Sadly there are rats! Danger!! We escaped late because the rat was already busy on our bumper and underbody of the van. Very unfortunate.
You can see stars a lot at night. Just the toilet is uncomfortable a little for women =(
Emergency stop only... If you fit
Luckily there is this place so you do not have to drive at night. It's not officially designated as a FREE camping, but fortunately found in this app and so we were not the only thing that was good. Rather a hiking rest place. Great place, peace and even a toilet.
