Lots of space, gorgeous view and good sunrise location
Lovely site with plenty of space along the grassy area. Some campers appeared to be there long term but were friendly. 1 long drop with toilet paper and hand sanitiser. There is a non potable water tank next to the toilet but did not use so unsure if full. Very peaceful stay and minimal sandflies.
Gorgeous spot. Okay cell reception. One somewhat clean long drop, there’s a cleaner one by the playground a few minutes away. Have stayed here a few times with differing levels of crowds.
An amazing place! Even arriving late, it wasn’t crowded. The ocean view is beautiful, the sunrise is stunning, and enjoying a morning coffee facing the sea with the sun on your face is pure bliss. Clean toilets too, which is a real plus.
Stunning views across the bay, not too busy last night. Toilets available, not used . Rubbish bins. Saw a penguin
Beautiful place. I felt very safe here as a woman traveling alone. There's a toilet and plenty of space. You can arrive relaxed in the evening.
Beautiful gravelled site directly on the beach at the end of the gravel road, very quiet, a bit windy in bad weather
Beautiful spot. Aussies travelling the South Island for a month and this is our favourite freedom camp so far. 1 long drop toilet which was tidy. Beach was beautiful in spring - kids spent hours climbing the rocks and collecting stones and shells. Only a few other small vans around, imagine Summer would be busy. Highly recommend!
Beautiful place right to the bay. Clean drop toilet a few hundred meters away.
As described, but be careful of the margins when it’s been raining. A normal motorhome can bog a tyre easily. Great sunrises, park maintenance window looking into the bay for a real treat .
