Great Road end camping with a few natural parking bays and a couple grassy platforms for tenting. Refer to DoC for the area hiking, but there’s also the anglers tracks which make great walks. It’s a serious playground for fishers and hunters though so be prepared for vehicles leaving very late and arriving very early.

Great spot, I’ve camped here for a few nights. The kids loved the walks and the pools to swim in. Fantastic gorge a short way upstream. Bear in mind that vehicle access is a bit limited if you have a low powered vehicle.... The exit is steep.
