Very friendly and welcoming check in staff. Clean amenities and good size campsite for Motorhome. Site is rather dated and old. Timed showers. Good wifi.

Good spot to break up the journey from the ferry to Tongariro. Big, decent showers (for 5 min but that should be enough), clean toilets and good kitchen. It was nice and quiet when we were there. Played ping pong and pool with my boyfriend (and lost)

Disappointed in this Top 10. A very money hungry feel. The playground while expansive was in need of some love to bring it back to its former glory. The kitchen was locked until 8am despite a sign noting it opened at 7. Extras such as the tv and games room were disappointing also. $2 to buy a ping pong ball to play. Lights turn off in the toilets at night so be speedy. Showers are seperate to toilets and aren’t gendered as the stand individual and open to a common area outside.

The unpowered pitch is just a patch of grass in the middle of the campsite, surrounded by buildings and children's playground equipment. If you stand under the trees, you'll be covered in bird droppings. At 10 p.m., adults were playing on the trampoline next door. The showers last a maximum of 5 minutes, after which you have to wait a long time before you can turn them back on. 5 minutes is short when you have long, greasy hair. It's impossible to use the Wi-Fi without giving your personal information.

Facilities were great. We stayed on an unpowered site which is just a big patch of grass by the kids playground. There are no set pitches so everyone is very cramped together. Get there early to get a more private spot in a corner.

The bathrooms, showers and kitchen were very nice. We stayed in a Cabina, the mattresses were very bad, you could feel the boards when you lay down, lots of spiders and dust. I would have preferred to sleep in the car.

Great camp. Always stop on way to ferry. Everything clean & orderly & really good prices. Nice shower cubicles & kitchen. Great value.

Facilities are great and super clean. Hot showers (for 5 min but that is more than enough). Kitchen closes at 10 p.m., which means you have to do the dishes directly after dinner (😞). The camp ground is clean but very unimaginative (rectangle with spots around the perimeter). Good stop over place but not a “spot to drive the extra mile”.
