Good site, plenty of spaces. 2 flushing toilets on site. $10 per person per night, can be paid via government website or by cash on arrival. There is very little to no phone signal. Quite spot with easy access to walking routes for the Pinnacles

Great place to stay. Enough room to park and you get a nice view on the Mountains/sea. Short walk to the sea. 10 dollars a person to be paid in a honesty box. 2 clean flush toilets. Perfect to stay before or after the pinnacles hike. Little to no phone signal.

In the middle you will see a big information board and there is a map on the side facing the toilets for where to park if you are camping. There are 2 flush toilets with sinks, which are as clean as they can be - signal is not great but that wasn’t the end of the world for me personally - Be wary no petrol or drinking water near by so make sure you have enough of both. Nearest restaurant/food trucks only open on Friday - Sunday. I enjoyed my stay, star gazing was insane!

Beautiful and spacious campsite. Close to a nice beach, perfect for the sunset. 2 flush toilets which were fine, no soap though. Also close to the pinnacles hike. Can only recommend this place.

Great little spot. Wonderful view of the sea from the site, decent toilets too (actually plumbed in)! No drinking water available. Perfect spot for an early morning trip to the pinnacles. Be warned carpark really fills up during the day with day visitor. Also no shops nearby or fuel so make sure you have what you need before heading there for the night! 10 dollars per person via an envelope you fill out so easy to sort out.

We ended up here by chance; you paid at the honesty box. We went to see the seal colony and then hiked the Pinnacles Trail. Okay for one night, very quiet. We didn't have a pen to fill out the Booking.com form. No cell service.

Beautiful place near the beach (you just have to cross the road, we saw an amazing sunset). Toilets were clean and could be flushed. Perfect starting place for a walk at the pinnacles the next morning.

What a nice place, loved it there! Spent one night in a car, 10pp (we paid on site), a lot of space to choose from. Flush toilets with toilet paper, water needs to be boiled. Beautiful sunset on the beach across the road. A lot of wildlife. Bad signal.

Seeing no comments, we hesitated to go there but in the end we did well! No need to book, first come first served, about twenty places, almost all level 2 flush toilets and a magnificent setting Starting point for the pinnacles hike (which is open up to the viewpoint !!!! It's the part between the viewpoint and the river that is closed) Little phone signal on the other hand

We spent a night here as did one other. Nice and quiet really, no road noise. Ground wasn’t boggy. Not the biggest DOC campsite but plenty of space this time of year and the walk to the Putangirua Pinnacles was nice to do in the morning. The track really isn’t formed right now though, perhaps due to weather or lack of maintenance, so wear boots and watch your step! DOC Ranger was around the camp this morning.
