Camping and Caravanning in Gisborne, Bay of Plenty

Stayed there for three nights and had no problems! We recommend!! -a lot of noice because of teenagers drifting their cars?? -all the toilets from the kiosk CLOSE at roughly 5pm till 6:30am but sometimes also randomly. -perfect spark signal -open, cold showers available (you’d need a swimsuit, not sure if shampoo is allowed) -drinking water available -NO dump station -a really nice 7 nzd dollar swimming pool next door with great hot showers

Wouldnt stay here on my own. Female solo traveller. Nice place to spend the day but overnight ... Good 4G signal, though. Discusting toilet. No flush water.

Female solo traveller. Was there yesterday, 13th Oct'26 at around 5 pm. No other vans parked. Only one white car by the toilet. A tatoo man came out with a can of beer holding on one hand + a cigarette on other hand. He came to me to ask for lighter. No, i dont smoke, i said. He started laughing loud like crazy. Obviously, inmediately, i left. Weirdo ppl.

Beautiful spot! So peaceful and with beautiful light at sunrise and sunset. No designated parking spaces, so you're free to park as you like. There were ~10 vans in total and still plenty of space. No water tap, no flush toilets, just 2 portaloos.
