Good campsite, park beside the lake wherever you prefer. Chilling winds during winter. 3 clean drop pit toilets with toilet paper and alcohol hand sanitizer.
Three smelly outhouses at night, but otherwise the spot is magnificent. The gravel road is even accessible by van. Gateway to Mount Sunday (Edoras in Lord of the Rings). We stayed one night and saw a beautiful sunrise.
Near Mount Sunday (lord of the rings edorra). Campsite is on grass, no specific spots. Lots of space and nice view. Recommend if stopping by!
Free camping. Magnificent view. We stayed there for two days because of the rain. Toilets OK. No water. Magnificent view. Very quiet. Plenty of space. Really great. No Wi-Fi but 4G. We felt safe. The road is in bad shape but it's doable in a campervan.
Fantastic campsite with a superb view. Not many people even arriving late. As with the access to Mount Sunday, it's a very long gravel road, but still manageable. Toilets on site.
Beautiful surroundings, clean toilet, plenty of space. We didn’t experience any sandflies at all.
The road to this site has lots of pot holes and is very bumpy - the site can flood quite easily in heavy rain but still multiple places you could camp. 3 long drop toilets with hand sanitizer and tissue :)
I felt very safe, good signal, plenty of space and very clean toilets.
Plenty of spots for campers of all sizes. Right by the lake. Gravel road to get in. Clean drop toilets and dumpsters for rubbish.
We stayed here after visiting mnt sunday/edoras (a must visit if you ask me!). The campground is big with toilets every 200m or so. The toilets are longdrops, very new facilities. The terrain is flat and it wasnt very busy when we were there 23th of Jan 2026. Nice, calm place to stay. It is on a gravelroad btw, good to know.
