What a spot! Great views, quiet and lovely place to spend the night. Toilets are clean. Sites are nice but can see it getting quite wet during the winter months. Would recommend.
Great views & plenty of space. The toilets were a bit of a walk away but were clean & flushing. Unfortunately the sandflies were the worst we experienced in the whole of NZ which put a bit of a downer on the experience.
Large flat pad sites, 2 outdoor kitchen areas and clean flush toilets. Limited areas with views of the lake from campsite. Lake is gorgeous. Sealed roads
Lovely camp ! Flushable toilets, sink with water to wash your dishes and an amazing view on the lake. Lot of places. Be prepared for the sandfly army !
A beautiful location, no view of the lake from most of the campsite. The flush toilets were kept clean but it can be long walk to use them depend where in the camp you stay. Definitely take sandflie repellent.
Easy access and a well maintained non powered DOC site. Three larger flat gravel sites for campervans and flat grass sites for tents and campervans. Well covered washing up and dining benches. Clean loos. By lake so sandflies but great views
Nice DoC campground with kitchen shelter and flush toilets. Both with lake and mountain view. Do prepare yourself for the sandfly army.
Great spot! Lots of flat spaces to park, toilets are fairly wellined and I have full reception when I was there. Bring bug spray! Sandflies are not the best, but tolerable :)
Very busy campsite. Lots of large groups with multiple cars. Not great for couples/solo travellers as the areas are occupied by large families. This means minimal flat ground left for last minute bookings. Arriving earlier would not have helped as people have been set up for weeks. Not great views of the lake. Did not use facilities as having a self-contained van.
Beautiful DOC site with toilets on the nearby lakefront. Be warned though, bug repellant is a must here.
