The uncharged camp is on the shore of the sea, and at night you can listen to the waves asleep, and the scenery is especially good. The camp facilities are also complete, the kitchen has kitchen utensils, toilets and a lot of bathrooms. Only the day we went the wind was big, the sun became small after sunset, and I didn't know if the west coast was windy every day.
Nice indoor bathroom. Unpowered site is right in the beach so beautiful. Nice water
What an utterly idyllic and beautiful location! It is right next to the most stunning of beaches with amazing sunsets to watch from the communal fire-pit and lounging area served by a pizza van and off-licence - or just bring your own drinks. The front line pitches are not powered but the powered ones all have view of the sea, too. Wished we’d been able to stay longer!
Great place!! Ocean view, privacy, lovely staff
Really lovely modern campsite. Clean and comfortable. We got the unpowered beachfront spot, had a beautiful view of the sea and plenty of space in each bay. Unisex bathrooms, clean and tidy. Well stocked kitchen and cosy lounge areas. You can also book a private jacuzzi for 18 NZD pp, perfect for a rainy day.
Very friendly owners. Very decent facilities. Would highly recommend. If you want a special nights stay take a look at the glamping pods - they looked excellent.
Loved this campsite! Small with modern facilities and a beach side pitch (unpowered vans) - what's not to love?
Amazing place! We had booked the beachfront, but arrived during heavy rainfall and were moved to a powered site further away from the coast luckily. The beachfront is great though, you can watch the sunset perfectly. Very clean and spacious bathrooms & kitchen, lovely community area outside. And very fair price!
Sue was kind enough to wait for us til 6:30pm when we had no reservation. Came here in winter and we thought it would be busy but there's only one other campervan other than us. The place is beautiful, slightly remote, and facing the sea. It's great for families and for anyone who wanted to unwind and relax. Facilities are amazing. For sure we'll be back.
Site ok but miles from anywhere, owners very pleasant. Shame they don't open all the facilities up but suppose it saves cleaning when the site's not full.
